I am an American looking to travel to Tajikistan most likely in 2027 but potentially later this summer. I would like to explore the Pamir Highway a bit, but mostly want to thru hike some of the western portion of the country. Flights are $1500+ so I'd like to try and keep my total cost within the country under $750 if possible over the course of 6-10 days. I already own backpacking gear, but I'm not sure if a guided hike is what I should go for regardless. Not sure if my price point is attainable or not, any info will be helpful.
