Hey, I've had a few Garmin watches (255, 965, venu 4, venu x1 and now 970)
And these latest releases have just been plagued with issues (venu 4/x1/970)
I won't go into the numerous issues I had with the venu 4 (both sw &hw) and aside from poor workmanship (glue around bezel) the x1 has given me the least headaches.
Now I'm on the 970 and the screen is just a mess, randomly clicking into things specifically whilst scrolling (doesn't do it randomly when not touching) but I've never had this issue on any of the others or the venu x1 (wondered if it was the sapphire screen) then whilst I was going through notifications it froze when I swiped away and just randomly rebooted. This is a replacement from Garmin after I had the same issues (minus rebooting) on the first one - so unless they're from the same batch, is this genuinely how shocking the 970 is? Oh, I forgot to mention the lag in general.
I'm at the point of just returning it and going elsewhere, the 965 waa rock solid, but i wanted mic/speaker for calls and issues have just followed me through the venu 4, x1, 970.. all troubleshooted with Garmin (Tracy).
Eager to hear your thoughts before sailing for a different brand - I know Garmin is the best metrics wise, but I'm not paying their premium when the HW/FW is this sloppy.
