Vomiting?
My dad was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic RCC in February of this year after an incidental finding. He started up on chemo, radiation (only lasted 1 week) and immunotherapy once every 28 days. He started vomiting about 3-4 weeks ago and it was non stop to the point where he was hospitalized twice by it. They added some new meds to his list thinking it was psychological/neurological since the regular nausea meds were not doing anything. The 2 they added on top of all of his nausea meds are Olanzapine and Prochlorperazine. I looked these up and read that they *can* cause hallucinations in older people if these 2 are taken. My dad is 61 and today he locked himself out of his house (home alone), trying to use an imaginary key to get back in. Stepmom found him outside as she was pulling up from getting off work. He pulled out a bunch of food and then left it on the counter. Didn't take any of his meds all day (stepmom counted). Rambling about nonsense and was claiming he was outside because he was trying to chase after 2 semi trucks that came through the neighborhood. I asked him this morning before I knew any of this if his nausea and vomiting had gotten better and he sent me 2 identical text messages that made sense but then followed by a message just with gibberish and a ton of laughing emojis. Any advice? Has anyone experienced this or had a loved one experience this?? His vehicle keys are missing as well but stepmom found his wallet shoved under the mattress (very not like him). He is in the ER now.
