Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some honest advice from people who’ve been through this process or have insight into late-stage waitlists.

I applied to Tuck in Round 1, received an interview (which I felt went really well), but was waitlisted. I sent an update after that, stayed engaged, and was then waitlisted again in Round 2. Going into Round 3, I was hopeful things would move—but my waitlist status was extended again.

For context:

  • International applicant ( Indian, F, Non-traditional background)
  • 1st gen, UG in History, Econ, Poly Sci.
  • 715 GMAT FE
  • ~7–8 years of experience (co-founder of a startup + US-based company)
  • Strong interest in consulting post-MBA

At this point, I’m trying to figure out what actually moves the needle. I know Tuck is where I want to be, but I also don’t want to overdo communication or hurt my chances.

A few questions:

  1. Is there realistically still a chance this late in the cycle?
  2. What’s the most effective thing to do now—another update, continued engagement, or just wait?
  3. Do endorsements from alumni/current students actually help at this stage?
  4. As an international applicant, does the visa/timeline situation make this harder?

Would really appreciate any insights—especially from people who got off the waitlist this late or have seen it happen.

Thanks so much.

I’ve been on the waitlist since R1, and it looks like decisions are coming out on April 30. At this stage, I’m honestly not sure how to gauge my chances.

Anyone else still on the waitlist or going through the same thing? Would love to hear how you’re thinking about it.
