Labour cost is 40 percent of the Parts cost . What a Joke
attaching the invoice showing cost of major service of an MG hector in petrol , serviced from karnataka due to unavoidable circumstances. 60k km service.
Part costs are acceptable but Labour cost being fricking 40 percent of the parts cost. Hilarious.
so guys, if your cars are out of warranty, get the service done from a multi-brand reputed service center in your town/city n not the ASC.
Bloody scammers Want to replace the most minor things when theyre repairable at a very low cost (i was good enough to notice alot of things being unnecessary as i understand cars , but imagine a normal person getting fooled every day by these scammers). I understand how they follow a replacement n not repair-policy, but looting the customers in the name of unwanted things, creating a sense of doubt in the customer s head telling lies about how its gonna affect driving if not replaced, is really bad. Btw brought the estimate down to this much from 55-65k by cutting down on unwanted parts replacement , without which the car can still run 10-20 k kms more atleast.
Am not complaining about the parts that are changed, at all.
but we are talking only about the labor cost.
Front and rear set of brake pads costed 13.5k altogether , but only labor for the brake pads were 6k.
making it close to 20k.
Note: Only brake pads and wiper blades were changed along with Whatever is changed during routine service (engine oil, transmission fluids, all the filters etc)
