1st year here now moving to 2nd year so thought it will be a good time to bring a desktop to the room.

Is there any issues regarding bringing them power-wise? Can I connect my CPU, monitor through an extension box to a socket without any overcurrent or such?

saw a few seniors using PCs in our new hostel so wanted to ask
