Like the title says, how do I put up with managers who are mean and constantly yell at you. I don’t want to give too many details because we have very identifiable company policies, but all 4 of our managers are constantly yelling and screaming at us in front of everybody. The other day I got yelled at for not greeting a table because they switched my section last minute(our app tells us what section we are working in) and got immediately sent home. They are very rude when you have questions about the menu, make a mistake, question the hosts on rotation (hosts play favorites and they do not care), openly gossip about servers and heavily play favorites themselves. Is there any language that I can use to deescalate when they’re yelling or do I just have to sit there and take it? I’ve only been working here 3 weeks but I can already see why they cannot keep employees. Since hiring me they’ve lost about 10 employees and hired maybe 5-8. They will yell at you over trivial things like asking another server to ring in their drink order even though we cant ring things for other peoples tables, doing your sidework before youre cut even if you have no tables, messing up orders or kitchen messing up orders.

This is my first serving job and I can’t really get another serving job because I’m young, live in a small town with not many restaurants, and I cant afford to go through a week or two of training where I’m not making money It’s not even the money that makes it worth it to stay because we have such small sections. I really don’t know how to deal with the constant berating and yelling going on here. I love serving and working in restaurants but this is really draining me.
