SAVE you will be missed
I finally switched to IBR. Since I’m unemployed, I’m taking those credits for a year- better do it now before I find a new job, which I hope is soon. As of today, I have $50k left.
260 out of 300 payments made, forgiveness in 2029. If SAVE lasted i would’ve overpaid and no tax bomb ( Such a bummer for us who were so close)…
Estimating that my 2026 tax filing will be around 50% of my normal annual income. So, my 2027 payments will be super low, compared to 2028 and 2029 when I expect to have normal salary for 27/28 tax years.
$30k ish forgiven in 2029…
Could always be worse, can’t be mad at $0 payments for a few years and all the fun behind the scenes.
