While I am not a fan of chicken or blank's verbal behavior. It cannot be denied at this point that the folks in Holtow's finest do in fact have special privileges and more attention from embark than other people in the finals. Here they are in a call with Rob where he is stating they have anticheat turned off for their accounts *probably with the intention to avoid mass reports from trolls or what have you* but turning off anticheat for players is permission to cheat. Why should they be treated any different?
Now, as embark has set a precadent that directed griefing in game ( a meta strategy since season 2 of the finals) is now considered a bannable offense, this is so much more relevant. In the other video here Rob is going over a player the hf crew sent to embark (rob in this case)
Rob is revealing the details of the player in question's account statistics. Meanwhile, as I have seen in the thread for people claiming false ban, embark wont give them so much as a hint let alone a whole explanation.
The source of these videos also stated that there was a running list of names that anyone in HF could add to and embark would ban almost overnight, no questions asked. This person also tested the theory by just inputting a few clean account names (did not specify if these were alts owned by them or not) and overnight it was banned.
I'm sure im not the only person in the world who has been griefed out of a ranked tournament cashout round. Its been a strategy to *play the tournament* for a very long time. If you were to tune in to any ruby player's vod or stream prior to this new precedent you would see it is almost an every-single-game strategy. Ruby player sees other ruby stack or someone they simply dont like and suddenly that team is a target, they must be stopped from advancing.
Further evidence of these guys having the power to get people banned / keep them banned. The screenshot here of Lycommit saying that he made sure a particular person remained banned is evidence of intent to use platform and social power to enforce an in game punishment set by embark.
In the case of Rottxn/Veo , chicken guy, and blank. They intentionally went out of their way to grief a team containing doccboppo and other HF members. And so went a ban to their accounts shortly after. Disregarding chicken and blank's horrendous language which should constitute it's own punishment, the act of *griefing* in the finals is so ambiguous. Its simultaneously a competitive strategy and bannable offense? (only if you grief out HF members it seems)
Looking back at the february nonsense with PHL.
Over the ban of Normalize and bizzy, HF members notably Lasagna, lamp, as well as a few other voices i didnt recognize. All were very publicly talking about how they will boycott the league. Only to say: "naw that totally didnt happen we never did that psssh" a few days later.
The actions from these people that all belong to the same exclusive group directly caused PHL to end up where it went to back in february. All to protect their own that they most certainly knew the truth about.
They have on-demand ban authority
They have anticheat turned off for them
They have vocal power over embark when it comes to community events.
They like to lie about it for some reason?
2nd video posted separately.
*EDIT*
if you didnt notice. appoh is in the vc in this video and the other.
I am dissapointed he would lie about this.
