Hey fellow Helldivers and Arrowhead team,

First off, massive thanks for the Machinery of Oppression roadmap (March–June 2026) — new biomes, enemies (including more Illuminate stuff), Galactic War campaigns, missions, QoL improvements, and a new Warbond with each major update. It’s exciting to see a clearer plan, and the slower, quality-focused patch cadence feels like a step in the right direction after everything the game has been through.

That said, as a longtime player who’s sunk hundreds of hours into spreading managed democracy, I wanted to share a gentle idea that might help the game feel even more sustainable and rewarding over time. I’m not a dev, so take this with a grain of salt — just one diver’s perspective based on what I’ve seen in the community.

Core thought: After wrapping up the Warbonds already planned in the current roadmap, it could be worth pausing or significantly slowing new ones until core progression systems catch up and expand. Right now, a lot of the “new stuff” energy comes through Warbonds (weapons, armor passives, stratagems, etc.), which is great for fresh gameplay but can start to feel like the main treadmill when deeper long-term goals, ship customization, meaningful progression, and social features haven’t scaled alongside it. Many veterans are voicing similar feelings about running out of things to chase beyond the next bond.

Freeing up some bandwidth from heavy gameplay content (which needs extensive balancing, testing across factions/biomes, etc.) could let the team tackle tech debt, bug fixes, performance, and bigger systemic improvements — like expanded ship modules, weapon/armor customization trees, better endgame loops, or the clan/guild systems that have been discussed.

To keep that steady flow of new content and give players something fun to look forward to each month without adding balance pressure, what if we expanded the Super Store with lighter, cosmetic-focused drops on a monthly (or bi-weekly) basis? Things like:

• Voice packs — This could be really cool and immersive. Super Earth is a unified humanity from all nations, so multinational voices (inspired by games like XCOM) would fit the satire perfectly — accents, different languages, patriotic flair, etc. To keep squad comms clear in the chaos of a bug breach or bot drop, a simple client-side setting could default to your native/game language or switch to a full “International” mixed mode. Tactical pings/callouts could stay standardized (clear accented English or whatever the “Super Earth common tongue” is), while flavor lines (banter, injury screams, victory cheers, idle quotes) go full chaotic and personality-driven. Start with more accent-heavy English packs, then expand if it lands well. Voice packs feel like pure fun that doesn’t conflict with gameplay.

• Super Destroyer cosmetics — Bridge holograms, lighting themes, victory animations, trophy cases for achievements, emblem projectors, terminal skins, paint jobs using medals/samples, etc. Players already love personalizing their ship — this would make the destroyer feel more like your hub.

• Other low-impact stuff like extra cape/helmet patterns, player card emblems, or minor visual upgrades.

These would be optional, earnable with Super Credits or direct purchase, and mostly art/audio/UI work rather than deep systems that need heavy balancing. It keeps the store feeling alive and gives everyone (free or paying) fresh ways to express their Helldiver identity without FOMO on power. The current Super Store rotation is already there — monthly dedicated cosmetic slots could build nicely on it.

I know shifting priorities isn’t simple, especially with revenue targets and team momentum, but diversifying monetization this way while investing in foundational depth (progression, customization, social) could help the game thrive for years. Arrowhead has shown they’re willing to listen and adjust based on feedback, which is one of the things that keeps me coming back.

This is just one idea — I’m sure the community has tons more. What do you all think? Devs, if any of this resonates even a little, I’d love to hear your thoughts (no pressure!).

For Super Earth! 🪐
