Hi everyone. I’m finally planning my move to Portugal, something my late husband and I always talked about doing one day. I’m looking for a quiet and safe place to settle, but I’m honestly feeling overwhelmed by the paperwork and banking side of things.

I keep hearing stories about bank accounts taking months to open, residency delays, and problems moving money without local help or someone guiding the process. I’ll be doing this alone, so that part worries me a bit.

Would really love to hear from people who moved solo and handled the financial side themselves. Was it as difficult as people say? Any advice or things you wish you knew earlier would really help
