Wife's grail - mother of pearl on Mother's day
My wife has been eyeing this grail piece of hers for a long time. Over the last couple of years since we started collecting watches, she has always prioritised buying watches for me rather than for herself.
Back in March, I separately reached out to my SA if she can get me this exact piece. She said they only receive limited MOPs and this exact configuration maybe twice a year and that they don't know when this piece might come in. They haven't seen one this year. I mentioned that it will be incredible to get the watch before mother's day.
Lo and behold, she called me on Friday to inform me that they just received it! And that we will surprise my wife.
So this morning I planned to do shopping near the AD and gave an excuse to swing by the AD to say hi.
We sat in a private room and champagne was served. My wife looked a bit puzzled. My heart was racing all the time haha.
Then my SA brought it out in the box. And we know if a watch is presented in a box, that means it's ours.
She got teary and I wished her happy mother's day and thank her for all the sacrifices she did for our children and family. She cried and my SA was wiping away tears too 🥺
