My First Jacket — Questions

Hi, everyone! I just joined this community because I just got my first leather jacket. I know it’s very used and worn, but that’s the vibe I typically enjoy. I always try to buy used and vintage. I have a few questions about this jacket since it’s my first one.

  1. I know it’s worn and flaking/damaged in some spots, but is it real leather? The interior tag says genuine leather, but that’s rather vague as to the quality.

  2. Is it normal for leather to wear like this? I feel like it looks almost bubbly in some areas like around the chest.

  3. Has anyone heard of this brand before? I would appreciate any details you might know.

  4. What is a fair price for a jacket like this? I paid about $40.
