Which is better CONSIDERING today's financial climate + the earth's weather climate.... We have two (modest) Outer Banks beach houses that are close to each other. One storm could take out two big assets and the weather has gotten more fierce it seems. Is OBX due for a big weather hit? Climate warming?

We just retired and want to simplify, not worry. Are we making a mistake to sell a modest house in a high value area when we could easily rent it for probably $2500/month? There is no mortgage.

We could sell one of the OBX houses and be done with it, but we will have a large gain. OR

We could keep the house, have a long term renter, and pay 10% to a broker who would manage all headaches.

OR?

Any thoughts or advice are welcomed. Thanks in advance!
