This gets asked a lot seemingly but didn't know what the correct answer is.

Signed up for a TNIA next week, first hpde for me but I have a lot of autocross experience. Running Novice.

I bought a set of G-loc R12 for the front, I'm taking a 2015 Focus ST. Just going to send the stock rear pads.

Going to Carolina Motorsports Park which is about 130 mile drive from where I live.

How should I go about using these track pads ? Mind you, my current brake setup is OEM stuff with a decent chunk of miles on it

  1. Separate set of rotors, put on the track pads, bed them on the street, pull them off, swap at the track pre and post event back to street pads? Seems like a lot of work.

  2. New rotors, put on track pads, drive it that way to the event, send it, drive home on track pads ?

  3. New rotors + track pads, no bed in, swap morning or event at the track, use session one to bed them in ? (Session one in novice seems to be a paced lap session ). Swap them back off end of day or drive home on those.

  4. Old rotors, swap track pads at event, bed them in session one, swap stock pads back on at the end of the day ?

Thoughts ? Am I way over thinking this ?
