So I have a single calico fantail in my 75 gal. tank. I want to get him some friends. What other fancy goldfish will go well with him?

Also, I am told not to put another breed of fish in with him. No snails, nothing. I am thinking about getting him 3 friends who are all varieties of fancy goldfish. I also will probably get 2 females and one male, as he is a male himself.

I recently had 4 goldfish, 3 longtail and one fantail, in a 16 gal. tank. I figured out that was too small so I got a 75 gallon with amazing filtration.

I bought two more single tail. I was then told this was way too much so I got rid of 5 single tail and surrendered them. I kept the fantail.

My question is how many more fish can I safely add. I want to get 6 zebras and one more fantail, just to start.

Is that too much?
