I don't want anyone telling me "Wear whatever you want!" Because I already do that.

I'm not a straight man but I'm also not open about my sexuality. For the sake of the argument, I present myself and people know me as a heterosexual.

I own a few pairs of flared jeans because I prefer them aesthetically. However, I never see any men wearing them, even though the ones I buy are men's.

If I'm wearing those pants outside, will people look at me and think I'm gay? I wouldn't hate it, but I want to know so I can take precautions not to wear them around the wrong people (just like how I own a cute turquoise necklace that I don't wear in front of the wrong people and wear a manly chain instead).

This is purely to avoid being made fun of by conservatives and muslims who don't know the enemy is closer than they think lol.

I haven't been to Sudan in 7 years, so this is going to sound ignorant. Please, bear with me :)

What everyone I know who's there complains about, other than electricity and disease, is the dangerous streets.

I understand that every country has theives and dangerous people, but they make it sound like an apocalypse there.

I want to know how is it over there? Is it really just random criminals with guns looking to strip you of everything and/or threaten your life? I'm not talking about nighttime, of course that's dangerous everywhere in the world. I'm asking about daytime crime.

As ex-muslim male, I would never marry a muslim girl, even if she was liberal, while I hide my atheism. Why? Because it isn't fair for her. I don't know how to explain it, but I feel like it is.

However, this changes for women. I don't see it the same way if a woman who's secretly ex-muslim married a muslim man.

Please tell me you understand what I'm saying here 😭

I think about this every now and then. Since I'm living around a very conservative community, I don't much have the incentive to go out and do what is otherwise considered sinful in Islam. Before, I used to do them out of spite, when I was still a fresh and emotional athiest. Now, I don't have the energy (if you met me, you wouldn't even realize I'm ex muslim unless I tell you).

So, my question is, how often do you "sin"? Whether it's small things like listening to music as the call to prayer is loud and near you or bigger things like drink alcohol?

Are there any sudanese people in Rwanda? I'm preparing a travel there and I want more information about the travel expenses, visa, and everything else. Please, if you are sudanese and staying in Rwanda or have recently traveled there, reach out to me. My dms are open.
