I’m not happy with how frequently/infrequently the stats like tire pressure fuel level etc. update. In the old days of this app I used to be able to hit a refresh button and make this stuff refresh. Has anybody found a refresh procedure? I realize the car may not be sending data very often that’s another story but I just want more routine updates on some of the key metrics. Yes cell connectivity is active.
Relatively new user of my Fidelity signature Visa card and I learned a tough lesson today. I have automatic payments set up every month two days prior to the due date with a full statement balance being paid. This month’s bill was larger than normal because I use the card to pay my tax payment. Subsequently, I went in about three days before the payment date and made a manual payment from an account. That payment was properly registered and my credit card balance is now effectively zero. Roll ahead wake up this morning to see an early morning notification that my Fidelity automatic payment is scheduled for that same huge amount from an account that doesn’t have that money in it. I called them and I tried online but there is no way to cancel that pending charge. It’s going to bounce which hopefully doesn’t hurt me because the payment is already made in full but it’s still annoying that that charge is going to try to post against my bank account though the statement balance is clearly zero. The problem here other cards do an automatic double check and will not debit again if the balance or statement balance is zero. ELAN needs to make some modifications and fix this unacceptable timing problem. My expectation was that since my statement balance was paid in full already, it had already cleared and recorded on the card as paid, that they would not transact that automatic monthly pament again without checking the statement balance. It appears as though they issue this uncashable pending transaction three days prior to my payment date which itself was two days before the due date. This is a headache and an important learning lesson for me and hopefully now others. If you are going to make an advanced payment before your automatic payment, be sure to do so it looks like four or five days prior to the automatic statement payment.
My old refrigerator failed and I had finite time and a very tight space in which only a couple models would fit. I purchased an LG model LFCS22520S which has the French door design and a linear compressor. This unit was built in March 2026. I’m wondering if anybody can tell me the likelihood that this one will have cleared the linear compressor heartache years. Specifically, I’m wondering if I should try to purchase the five-year extended warranty from Lowe’s which I’ve heard mixed reviews on, if I should purchase the three-year warranty from LG premium care which troubles me because it would leave me uncovered in year five, or just self ensure hoping that things have been improved with these models. Any insights from technicians welcomed and appreciated.
