Abundance: done in ~1min, AFK, and repeat 7 times?
Hey r/wow,
I know these posts keep coming up, but I just finished my weekly Dundun shards and it still feels off to me.
The glowing green rat Loa and the whole Abundance idea sounded fun at first. Group up, click orbs, fill the shared bar, some silly chaos. In reality I jump into the instance, grab everything in like 45 to 60 seconds, and then I'm just standing there. The timer keeps going. I can't leave early without wasting the shard, so I either AFK in a corner or tab out and feel silly about it.
This is only on my main. I tried doing it also on one alt early in the expansion and dropped it fast because it wasn't worth the time. Even doing it on just one character feels inefficient.
I get they want to keep zones active and spread the weekly stuff out. But it feels backwards. You blast through the actual gathering part super quick and then have nothing left to do for the rest of the instance.
A few small changes would make it way better:
- Let us spend multiple shards in one longer run
- Clearer live tracking on the cap
- Some catch-up so it doesn't feel like wasted time
They've fixed some bugs and lag which is nice, but the core loop hasn't really improved.
Does anyone else feel the same way?
