The story and the concept was really good. It kept me hooked, all the way through. Shinichi’s character progression was interesting to see as well, and the psychological aspect of “humanity vs parasites” was also well done. I didn’t expected Tamura Reiko to be as good a character as she was. On top of all that, the ending was good.

There were some moments, like when Shinichi’s “edgelord persona” for his character development, got a bit boring. I also felt that some side characters (like Shinichi’s dad) were really under-utilised.

There were some cool scenes too, like Shinichi throwing a rock at Hideo (I’d seen that in many anime edits) and I also came to know that the “lock in” meme, came from here.

So yeah, overall it was a pretty good watch (8/10). Obviously, it wasn’t anything special or “top tier”, but still it did its job.

What are your thoughts on the anime?

I’ve heard someone say that, they’ll adapt the first 50 chapters in these 7 episodes, so they won’t have the normal 20 minute length. They’ll probably be 40-50 minutes each.

Idk if they plan to adapt ALL of One Piece seasonally like this, or they’re only planning to adapt the earlier parts of the story. Nonetheless, I’m really excited for Wit Piece.

Binged it in 3 days, and it’s really good. I didn’t expected it to be as good as it was. The premise, the characters and especially the world building is quite unique and great. I also like the fact that, despite being filled with gore, it balances itself with normal everyday moments, along with being serious. Because imo, if it was “too serious”, then the story wouldn’t have been THIS appealing and would’ve gotten a bit boring.

At first, the CGI looked “wacky”, but then it adjusted well with the story and now, I don’t have any problems with it, since S2 improved quite a bit, in this aspect. The “nuke drop” in episode 6 of S2 was specially interesting.

What are your thoughts about it?
