So yesterday I cut my finger pretty badly (ended up getting 2 stitches) and I reacted pretty quickly (bandaged it up, called 911) but I was panicking a lot from seeing all that blood. I started feeling really dizzy/woozy I couldn’t keep my balance, i was getting sweaty and I felt my consciousness kind of drift off a bit and when I opened my eyes I was on the floor. it felt like I was coming out of a deep sleep and I felt disconnected from my body for a few seconds, I wanted to close my eyes and fall back asleep but being on the line with the operator really helped. think I only passed out for a few seconds cause my mom said she called me to see what was going on and I didn’t reply and that’s when she came to check on me. She also said I was walking around, going into a few rooms then back out again and I literally have no memories of that which is kind of freaky.
Ended up going to the ER to get it stitched and properly checked out, which thankfully didn’t take too long.
after looking up my symptoms I think it may have been a Vasovagal response, since my symptoms seem to line up and it can come from the sight of blood.
