how messed up is my story now (spoilers)
I didn't come across Karlach until after last light inn, so when I did meet her, she was furious with me and spoke to me as if I'd killed all the tieflings at Emerald Grove (I didn't, apparently, this is what happens if you meet her after last light cause you need Karlach for her story). She wanted to kill me. And apparently she was a possible companion that a lot of people liked. And, I didn't realize Astarion is literally at the crash site of the ship at the start of the game. I completely missed him, thinking he was a later-stage character. Finally looked up where he comes in, and I guess he's still at the crash site, and I'll go get him now. I'm super bummed, though, becuase I'm guessing I've missed out on a lot of story not having them with me? And I was looking forward to romancing Astarion, and I'm guessing that's messed up now?
