For those who took the course with him, how important is it to read the textbook?

How much of the exam info comes from the textbook?

And if you read it, did you just go over the key terms and summaries at the end of the chapters?

Hey, has anyone taken this class before? What should I expect for the lab reports? Are they easier than the bell ringer exams?
