what are the newer res buildings

i recently got my cfm offer, never really been into cs growing up but recently seeing how finance is getting highly replaced, i thought having a cs bg would be good to have, but i still dont rlly code tm and main focus has always been trying to break to high finance in the U.S?, anyone who is trying to pursue the same path or smth have any opinions on this?
