I’ve offered on a house listed at 450k offers over.

I offered 450k, I think this is reasonable and I’ve sold my property so there is no chain on my side.

The vendor has now come back and said they are actually looking for offers at the 475k mark.

I don't get it, if you want £475k, why not list at £475k? Listing at £450k 'offers over' and then expecting £25k above that feels a bit misleading.

I’m now worried to view other properties listed at offers over, is this normal?
