what are the brown spots? Thrips? But i do not see any little black bugs on the underside.
possibly sun damage? Its right by a west window with no curtains, so evening sun is strong (as seen in the picture) but through the rest of the day its bright indirect
what else could it be? They are spreading quite fast

I recently (about a month ago) got this bird of paradise. What are the brown spots? they are spreading quite fast. First idea was thrips but do not see any black moving bits. Maybe sun damage? Im new to bird of paradise care. Its right by a west window with no curtains, so quite a lot of light. I water it mostly when the top 5 cm is dry. Maybe the leaves are showing stress because i repotted it two times in a short period of time? (the first time the spil mix was not chuncky enough, there were about 2 weeks in between of the reppotings.
But - thrips?
