I just finished AOT for the first time last night and it made me so mad that towards the end of season 4 arman and mikasa + Connie hange John. Turned evil (imo) they kill so manny people who called them friends and comrades right before they fix the airship they raid the harbor. Connie litterly assures another scout that they are on the same side right before shooting and killing him. Mikasa kills a teenage girl who was a fellow scout while she begs for her life, as doing this she monologues in her head about not being able to hesitate because her comrades could die but she is literally killing her real comrades and the comrades she is talking about are people who terrorized and killed her people. (She kills comrades to save evil people who killed her friends and family) Right after this they cry about some old guy dying when it was his choice to die but they couldn’t care less about the dozens of innocent teenage scouts they slaughtered it feels so out of character for them to be so evil and this is on top of the fact that they completely betray their people (the eldians within the walls) and leave all the innocents alone with the yaggerist effectively giving paradie to erens faction don’t even get me started on hange she kills so manny scouts (people who call her their leader) she probably recruited half of them and she has no issue killing them just because their doing what they think is right for there people and she disagrees with them hange is probably the worst case out of all of them but Mikasa turning evil really broke me up she was my favorite female character in anime for the time I was watching the first 3.7 seasons and that got completely thrown away in like 5 episodes. I just found it very off putting that these were good people who had no issue turning evil and they were presented as “the good guys” while at the height of there evil actions.
