Hi everyone!!! As yall see im a beginner at this and would def want some help from you guys.

So I recently determined to start my makeup journey. Im pretty young and feel like this is a good time to start (not saying that there a certain age to start). Im looking to be extremely good at makeup and confident in my skills in the future and be able to do many different styles. I’d like to start at the fundamentals and basics, and then build my way up from there bc i truly want to be good at this and will take the time it takes.

• I prefer visual aid than verbal so I will definitely be on YouTube and therefore ask if yall know any ACTUAL makeup artist that actually know what their doing and have been in the industry for long, someone that talk about techniques and material+product, how they work, which are the best for what and so on. Would love to watch some old content too from the early 2000s and 2010s.

Growing up watching shows/movies/reality tv and music from the Hollywood era the makeup definitely made an impression on me and would love to know how to do that, like WHO DID THE MAKEUP BACK THEN??? Im not the biggest fan of the makeup trend we see today (no hate), I’ve always loved what we had back then (although I was a baby i still remember a bit and the nostalgia that comes with it. Yall know that era of Michelle phan as an example lolll). That’s why I would love to learn from someone the has been around a while and not just from this current era, I truly don’t like the makeup nowadays.

• If there’s any makeup brand that legitimately has good products and material i would love to know and again if they’ve been around a while, like mac.

• How do I know what fits me the best? Im not walking around with flawless makeup that doesn’t fit me cuz it’ll just look bad still, I’d love to be good at as much makeup styles as possible:)

I might have forgotten something but feel free to tell me everything and anything (also I hope I chose the right sub Lolll). Byeee🫶

Long rant sorry!!!
