A Better OR Cheaper DT 900 Pro X for Competitive FPS?
For highly competitive Counter-Strike 2. Also everyday use but that is secondary.
This might be a weird ask since the obvious answer is DT 900 Pro X, but I am hoping that someone might know what makes these great for hearing footsteps.
My DT 900 Pro X broke and it doesn't seem like the cost will make it reasonable to repair. I am guessing that I loved the lack of strong bass in it, as I am now trying my partner's old 880 Pro and I cannot get it to sound "clear" even with a lot of messing with the equalization. I was hoping to avoid the cost of buying new headsets but it seems it will be unavoidable as I play CS2 on a high level and I cannot justify getting used to worse directional clarity.
Problem: I like shiny things. I don't like spending on a good amount of money for the exact same product.
So, I am hoping to settle on different headphones. Either ones that sound similarly good in terms of positional accuracy for cheaper, or ones that provide comparable accuracy while also being better headphones overall for music consumption.
Location is UK.
I have a strong enough amp to power 250 ohms so that shouldn't be a problem.
Thanks!
