Why i don't get any sound with my sb16?
Hi everyone, i have a Pentium MMX PC with a SoundBlaster 16 CT4170 in It. I'd like to point out that I'm not an expert in this field, so if you have any suggestions, please do so kindly :). For a long time i used the microphone input of a boombox for amplifying the audio, but there was a frequent noisy buzz sound along with the audio that wasn't so clear. Today I went to my local thrift store and came across a 90s stereo speaker (the one in the photo) for 5 euros and I immediately decided to buy it. But when i tried It, connecting the audio jack that was built in the speaker in the line in connector in the back of the sound card, even at max volume i didn't hear any sound aside from a really quite Wwite noise. So what do i do? Are the speaker a any Good? I tried them with my smartphone and they work flawlessly.
