When to start subcutaneous fluids and phosphate binders?

Hi all, my cat is around 15 and was diagnosed with Stage 2 CKD in January, when her BUN was 47 and her creatinine was 2.2. Since starting a low dose of methimazole for hyperthyroidism, her kidney values have worsened. Her BUN is now 57 and her creatinine is now 2.5.

She eats Weruva wet food in gravy (I add extra water to every can) and gets mirataz as needed. She doesn't consistently eat dry food so I don't offer it.

Prescription/kidney-focused food is the only treatment my veterinarian has suggested thus far. I'm seeing references online to subcutaneous fluids and phosphate binders, and I'm wondering when I should start asking my vet about them. I want to make her remaining months/years as comfortable as possible.
