
Why do we HAVE to have modifiers in trophy ladder?
I genuinely feel like I hate when Trophy Ladder modes are taken over by event modifiers. Like, I understand wanting the game to be enjoyed by everyone, but what if we DON'T want modifiers in our gamemodes? We've literally had dedicated gamemodes for events, and yeah in every event, certain powers are available, and it's fun to think how they affect the meta
BUT
This "power up modifier" isn't just a BUNCH of different effects like every other event (E.g. Mutations, Wasabi Power), it's literally just 4 characters you get by picking up powerups mid match. Cool stuff, but like, why do I have to suffer my trophy matches dealing with this busted shit? I can't even functionally win some games because I get bombarded by a Starr Patrol character whenever I'm on the winning side.
I genuinely think we should just have an extra page with gamemodes that rotate and ALWAYS have the modifier, like 5 gamemodes with modifiers a day or something that mirror the main Trophy Ladder, while also having Trophy Ladder matches be separate from Starr Nova modified modes.
It gets so frustrating sometimes to deal with it in normal games when I just want to push trophies normally or do quests. I don't want overtuned RNG in my games while I'm trying to progress the game/passes.
