About a month ago, I submitted strong LORs for a student who has since ghosted my class.

This student took the prerequisite course with me and earned an A. The student also had a solid B in the current course until the assignment right before they ghosted.

Has this happened to anyone else before? What did you do about it, if anything?

Thinking about creating a “rule” for myself about waiting until a course is completed before submitting LORs for someone…but, that could cause problems for some students, I realize.

Thoughts?

(I know that the student is physically ok and has been attending other classes on campus).
