Hi guys! I’m new here and have been surrounded by christians my entire life. After digging through this wonderful sub I was wondering the best books you recommend for newbies.

I feel like every time all I can find in your average books stores are just purely mythology and history or it’s just the Odyssey or Illid. It’s actually quite disheartening. For example I went to a books a million( had a gift card don’t spend my actual money there) and they had 6 rows of christian books. 6 ENTIRE ROWS. I asked a worker if that was the only religious text they had and she said yes. But shout out to two of their workers because they combed the entire store for me and agreed how horrible it was! Afterwards they found three books. Can you guess which ones? :/

Anyway, I want to expand my knowledge of the religion as a whole and am very excited. Any help is welcome as well :)

Edit: Wasn’t aware of the reading list but now am! Bought a few off there and would like to hear your best recommendations from the ones you’ve read!
