First NFA Item and First Time Shooting Suppressed
Yesterday evening I got to try out my first ever NFA item and my first time shooting anything with a suppressor. This is a basic PSA AR that I put together from a stripped lower and PSA parts kits. The upper is a PSA 11.5". Suppressor is a BOSS Silencers Guillotine 556 with the fully vented end cap. It's direct threaded for now, as I think it will live on this one for the foreseeable future.
As expected, it was pretty gassy. I borrowed basic milspec BCG and charging handle from my first AR just to get it running. Happy to say there were zero issues. I plan on getting a KAK K-spec down venting BCG and Radian Raptor SD, plus doing the gasket fix on the charging handle. I'm open to any real world experience or suggestions though.
So far I'm very happy with my first foray into NFA! I have a .22LR suppressor on order, plus 3 Form 1s for SBRs, including this very lower.
