I'll be at UMass for a week in late June and am travelling from out of state, so I really don't know the buses well. I'm looking at a Peter Pan bus from Albany, NY to UMass, but there's only a 15 minute connection in Springfield and I have no idea if that'll be enough time, if there's frequent delays, etc. I literally don't have another option other than a Flixbus with a 20 minute connection, which might be worse lol. Any advice? Should I give up and rent a car?

Also! UMass website says they sometimes hold buses for connecting passengers; is this true?
