My absolute maximum is around 3500-4000 MXN (approx. $200 - $235 USD). I am located in Mexico, so I'm limited to buying from Amazon Mexico or MercadoLibre. I don't use FB Marketplace.
Source/Amp - Wireless/Bluetooth primarily, connected to my Xiaomi 15T Pro.
How the gear will be used -
This is the most important part for me: I need these for my daily work commutes on very noisy public transport. My absolute top priority is getting the best Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) possible.
Preferred tonal balance - Not a major concern for this pair. As long as it sounds decent, I'm okay with it.
Past gear experience - I already own a pair of Audio-Technicas that I use at home for critical listening and good sound quality. Because of that, extreme battery life or audiophile-grade sound are not my priorities here. This purchase is strictly about blocking out the world.
Anything else? - My main dilemma is between the Sony WH-1000XM4 (which sit right at the edge of my maximum budget) and the Soundcore Space One Pro.
My question is: How different is the ANC on the Sonys compared to the Space One Pros? Is it really worth spending the extra money just for the noise isolation on a bus? If not, are there any other models in this price range that have top-tier ANC that I should consider?
