My uncle told me college was a waste of money. He said I'd never get a job with my degree.

I graduated. Got a job in my field within 3 months.

I sent him a framed copy of my diploma with a note that said "this waste of money paid for itself in 3 months. Just thought you should know."

He never brought it up again.

TL;DR: Uncle said college is waste of money. Graduated and got job. Sent him my diploma. He went quiet.
