So I stopped taking Semaglutide last summer when I reached my goal weight (I know, you don’t have to tell me!!)
I noticed food noise came back almost immediately, this coincided with some huge life changes that knocked me for six and I was prescribed Mirtazapine for depression, anxiety and sleep problems.
I tried Semaglutide again after that, but I believe the side effects of Mirtazapine were completely counter balancing the Semaglutide and I’m now back at my highest weight despite still taking ozempic.
I have no interest in stopping taking my antidepressants, as they work for my mental health and I don’t like myself on SSRIs, I believe that me being mentally healthy is worth the side effects of constantly wanting to eat everything in sight hahah.
But I’m now starting on Mounjaro instead of Semaglutide, it’s been one day and I’ve noticed already the food noise has gone - could be a placebo at the moment but I’m hopeful.
Has anyone else had experience with antidepressants messing with their GLP-1s, and if changing up GLP-1 medication worked for you?
