Which shore of Song-Kul has the best views?
I'm planning a trip around Kyrgyzstan and want to spend a night at Song-Kul. I would like to choose a yurt camp that offers good views accross the lake with the mountains behind. However, I'm finding it hard to find information on which shore has the best views. I've read that the southern shore has more dramatic mountains so more people choose to stay there. But wouldn't that mean that the north shore actually has better views since you get the view of the higher mountains accross the lake?
Anyway, if anyone that has been there could shed some light on this or has recommendations for which yurt camp to choose, I'd really appreciate it. I would prefer a smaller camp over the main ones that have a lot of yurts. I also don't plan on riding any horses and would prefer to hike around to some viewpoints, in case that would affect the choice of camp.
