I am refinishing a maple table top with General Finish water based polyurethane. I did it in two phases. I refinished the table leaf first by stripping the old finish, sanding it, and applying 4 coats of General Finish water based polyurethane five weeks ago. I kept the table leaf under a tarp in the basement until I brought the leaf to where the table was located. I just refinished the table today using the same process, but the table is much lighter than the table leaf and they do not match at all. what happened? What should I do???
