Sadie Sink in Brand New Day

If they take inspiration from the Brand New Day comics I think Sadie Sink will be playing a new character Alana Jobson a superhero named Jackpot.

I can see the confusion on why people thought it was Jean Grey.

The Jackpot mantle in Marvel Comics is primarily associated with two characters—Sara Ehret and Alana Jobson—who possessed superhuman strength, durability, and agility, while the modern version, Mary Jane Watson, utilizes a "Jackpot Bracelet" that grants her random, temporary superpowers via a holographic slot machine mechanism.

a little gimmicky but you never know.

Marvel Rivals: EOMM EXPLAINED!

The bot system (4 humans + 2 bots vs 6 bots) is exclusive to Quick Play as a retention tool after losses.

Many players suspect Engagement-Optimized Matchmaking (EOMM) elements that create win/loss cycles for retention, though NetEase officially emphasizes skill-based balancing (SBB).

Hidden MMR (Matchmaking Rating) in Marvel Rivals is a behind-the-scenes numerical value that represents your true skill level more accurately than your visible rank. It is the primary driver of matchmaking in Competitive mode.

Hidden MMR is an invisible rating that the game uses to pair you with teammates and opponents of similar skill. It aims to create matches with roughly 50% win probability.

If perfect matches aren't found quickly, the search range expands (you might get wider skill gaps).

If you’re performing well above average for your rank (high damage/healing/objective time), the system often gives you weaker teammates to "balance" the predicted win chance.

The game uses your hidden MMR (more than visible rank) to create matches where each team has roughly equal average skill.

Summary: The game tries to keep matches close and engaging by using hidden MMR to create balanced lobbies, while occasionally giving easier bot-filled Quick Play games to retain players after bad streaks. Individual performance still matters most for long-term ranking. Not your rank.

Skins We Need

  • Hulk → Red Hulk, A-Bomb, Abomination
  • Thor → Beta Ray Bill, Ultimate Thor
  • Dr. Strange → Blue Mage
  • Angela → Deathbird
  • Captain America → Red Guardian, U.S. Agent, Endgame suit, Secret Avengers suit
  • Black Panther → Killmonger, Civil War suit
  • Deadpool → Ultimate Deadpool, Deadpool and Wolverine movie skin, Lady Deadpool, Gwenpool
  • Spider-Man → Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Armor MK1, Electro-proof suit, Ben Reilly, Spider Kaine, Superior Spider-Man, Spider-Noir
  • Peni Parker → Into the Spider-Verse Skin
  • The Punisher → Punisher War Machine, Jigsaw
  • Ghost Rider → Cosmic Ghost Rider, Carter Slade, Danny Ketch, Alejandra Jones, Robbie Reyes
  • Iron Man → Silver Centurion, Ironheart, Hammerhead suit, Iron Patriot, War Machine
  • Hawkeye → Kate Bishop, West Coast Avengers
  • Iron Fist → Steel Serpent, Classic
  • Venom → God of Light Venom, Venom 2099
  • Jeff the Land Shark → Triceratops
  • Moon Knight → Herald of Galactus
  • Gambit → Herald of Galactus
  • Green Goblin → Hob Goblin, New Ultimate Green Goblin, Demogoblin, Ghost Goblin
  • Black Cat → Classic Comicbook, Black Cat (Spider-man 2, 2004)

Make them Epic or Legendary skins. I don’t think we need a flood of variants and duplicate-style heroes. Peni Parker is the clear exception because she is significantly differently from the original Spider-Man.

Characters like Red Hulk, A-Bomb, Abomination, Beta Ray Bill, U.S. Agent, Red Guardian, Gwenpool, Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, War Machine, Kate Bishop, ect, don’t need to be fully separate characters. They’d work perfectly as high-quality skins with added FX and voice changes. We’ve already seen this approach succeed with Lady Loki, Spider-Punk, Agent Venom, and more.

If these characters became their own playable heroes, they’d have very limited options for future skins and cosmetics. More importantly, it would undermine comp. Banning Spider-Man in ranked would feel pointless if players could just swap to a nearly identical Miles Morales or Spider-Man 2099.

The Marvel Universe is massive. Turning every alternate version, clone, and legacy character into a separate hero does a huge disservice to the original icons and dilutes the entire roster. Comic book legends like Stan Lee understood this. That’s why they created clones, multiverse variants, and alternate universes in the first place, to expand the universe without replacing the core original heroes.

What character do you want added to the game?

Before Captain Marvel gets added to the game I wanna know, should they use her original design or her new modern design as her default skin?

I was introduced to Captain Marvel as Ms. Marvel and like the original design a lot more. I still wish they used the classic original design in the MCU even if it was a Disney Marvelized version of the suit. But Im sure they will add both one being the default and one being an alternate costume.

I find it funny that the community complains that characters don't have any/enough Legendary skins when the Epic skins are far better for cheaper. I have a pretty good amount of skins and most of them I got just by unlocking or grinding out the achievements and buying for 1400-1600 units. I have yet to see a legendary skin that is better then epic.

What do you guys think?

Now that Blood Hunt (the new PvE mode) is here, I wanted to share my thoughts. Overall, I'd give it a solid 9/10 — it's genuinely fun, way better than I expected, and a massive upgrade over Marvel Zombies. The improved physics, enemy variety, boss fights, level design, skill trees, and gear system all make it feel like a real co-op looter experience.

I've already leveled up Moon Knight, Blade, Punisher, and Thor, and I'm having a blast. That said, it's not perfect and can start feeling repetitive after a while. Here are a few changes that would make it even better:

1. Fix the Gear System Misleading Drops

Before queuing, it shows a gear range like "32-40," but you actually get either 32 or 40 — nothing in between. This creates annoying gaps where you're stuck with low-level gear until you suddenly jump to the next bracket.

Change: Make gear drops fall anywhere within the promised range (e.g., 33, 35, 37, etc.). Keep the forge/crafting system exactly as is. Small, consistent upgrades would feel much more rewarding and reduce the "stuck at 32 until 40" frustration. Max level could still cap around 60.

2. Streamline Nightmare Mode

Do we really need 170+ Nightmare levels with tiny increments? Every 5 levels feels different, but the micro tiers (like 1-4 or 6-9) have almost no noticeable difference. I've tested them — the gameplay barely changes, yet there are way too many redundant modes.

Change: Simplify it. Turn major breakpoints (lvl 5, 10, 15, etc.) into Nightmare 1, 2, 3, and so on. It would clean up the menu, make progression feel more meaningful, and still allow for the scaling replayability (especially since runs on the same level can already vary a lot due to randomization).

3. Remove the Leave Penalty

There should be no penalty for backing out of a PvE match. If you forgot to swap gear, realize you're underleveled/underpowered, or just need to adjust, you shouldn't get hit with a 15-minute timeout.

This is basically a story/co-op mode — similar games (like Marvel Avengers or Gotham Knights) never have punished you for leaving. The penalty feels like it was copy-pasted from Quick Play/Competitive, and it's especially frustrating on day one when everyone's still figuring things out.

4. Add More Playable Characters & Bosses

Adding the current six heroes was clearly a ton of work, and they all feel unique with their skill trees and gear. But I'd love to see more:

  • Playable: Daredevil, Wolverine, Gambit, Elsa Bloodstone, and Spider-Man would fit the vampire-hunting vibe perfectly and give us more fun characters to level up.
  • Bosses: A Loki and Venom boss fight would be awesome (we already got a Captain America-style one, so the precedent is there).

5. Arcana Card Improvements

There should be more Arcana Cards available to choose from during runs. I really enjoy effects like “20% chance to lightning chain enemies.” Adding more unique ability modifiers would make every run feel noticeably different.

6. Add Endless Horde Mode

An Endless Horde mode with unlimited rounds that get progressively harder. Introduce new enemy types at round 5, 10, 15, etc.

7. Boss Instant Kill

After a few minutes, some bosses can instantly kill players, which feels cheap and repetitive.

Change: Change the lethal threshold to something like 90% health depletion, forcing players to use their health ability instead of burning a revive token. This would feel fairer while still keeping the pressure high.

8. Option to revive teammate

Remove self-revive tokens entirely and let teammates revive you by standing near your death location for a few seconds. Or spawn back in at the end of the current round.

Final Thoughts

I'm not calling the mode bad at all — it's a free mode in a free game, and NetEase knocked it out of the park with the improvements. It honestly matches the quality and loop of dedicated co-op games like Marvel Avengers and Gotham Knights. It just sucks that it's limited-time (currently running until July 30, 2026).

With a few tweaks to gear, Nightmare progression, queuing freedom, and more content, this could easily become a permanent staple or something they bring back stronger in a later season.

What do you guys think? Any other improvements you'd like to see?
