I have a profitable system (95% figured out), but after 13 years, I lack the emotional consistency to finish what I start. Looking to build a small, ego-free accountability Discord. NOT selling anything here

I am putting this out here to be completely transparent. I’ve been trading on and off for 13 years, and I am not profitable. I focus specifically on options trading. Not to sound greedy, but options are there for a reason—they provide the leverage to actually make more money if you stick to your rules.

To give you some background: I have ADHD, which made traditional learning really difficult for me, especially with everything else going on in life. I never read heavy books on stocks. I learned just by watching the markets constantly and absorbing videos here and there. I’m not great at deep technical research, and I don't calculate complex fundamentals (maybe I should a bit, but I don't). Because of this, my entire approach is built to be as simple, visual, and stress-free as possible.

My emotional control is much better than it used to be, but because of how I was raised, I still lack the ability to finish and follow through with things. On top of that, I went through a heavy depression. I’ve gotten past the worst of it, but I’ve been stuck at a "no motivation" level and have spent the last several years largely stuck in the house.

I’ve realized that to reach my end goal—buying an acre of land, growing my own food, and stepping entirely out of the traditional work system—I can't do it as a lone wolf. I need an environment that acts almost like an 'older brother' or mentor figure to help me build that final push of emotional strength and keep egos in check. I don't care about showing off. I just want to share my system and build a team where we teach, share, and hold each other to strict rules.

Here is exactly how I trade:

The Style: Momentum & Trend This is mainly a momentum trend strategy. I don't like holding on for weeks. I primarily focus on day trading and short swing trades, usually holding for 1 to 5 days.

The Bread and Butter: The BBE Crossover My primary strategy revolves around my custom BBE (Bull-Bear Efficiency) indicator. If you look at the bottom panel in the screenshot, the main visual trigger is the crossover—when the red band pushes up, the green band drops, and they cross. It’s a pure probability play. It gives me a definitive 'yes' or 'no' on whether momentum is shifting.

The Confirmation: The Ichimoku Cloud I don't always use the BBE and the Ichimoku cloud together, but one of my alternate plays is the 'Cloud Cross'—waiting for the price to physically push through the cloud on the main chart. Having this secondary visual filter forces patience and stops me from jumping into a trade just out of boredom.

The Trend & Speed Filters To keep me grounded in the actual price action, I use three specific overlays on the main chart:

  • MMD Cloud: This is a moving average variant that acts like a highway. As long as price is riding it correctly, the trend is healthy.
  • SMA10: Mixing in some Qullamaggie strategy here (major respect to him). This is my "speed" indicator. If the price hugs the SMA10, we are in a high-momentum move.
  • Donchian Ribbon: This acts as my ultimate visual trend and volatility filter, helping me instantly see the weight and direction of the price action.

The Supporting Cast: DMI & DSMI Below the main chart, I have two oscillators that act as my final visual checkpoints:

  • DMI: I am simply watching to see the line visually start to point and go up, showing momentum is building.
  • DSMI: I am waiting to see that "bubble" or shape get noticeably bigger alongside the line moving up.

I can visually show you the strategy all day long, but sticking to it—that is the hard part.

The Core Gameplan For the most part, I have the gameplan built. It boils down to a few strict pillars:

  • When to buy & when to sell.
  • When NOT to trade. (This is usually where I mess up).
  • Honoring Stop Losses. (This is one of my biggest weaknesses. I freeze up and let hope take over instead of cutting the cord).
  • Patience.
  • Embracing the minimum consistent return: With options, I've had several hundred percent returns, but they didn't amount to much in the end because of my emotions. You can get a lot of quick 5-10% returns on the 1m-2m charts, and if you just wait and trade the higher time frames, you can easily make 100%+ returns. But mentally, the goal is to be happy with the minimum consistent % return rather than chasing those 3-4 digit gainers. Chasing them will cost us greatly, as it did with me in the past. It's about knowing the big numbers will happen naturally, but we can't force them.

(I will be adding more detailed rules to this gameplan as we build the group, because this is the exact core we need to master.)
