Just wanted to share my recent experience flying with (DEL → AUH → YYZ) because I feel like one thing is seriously underrated…
I had an 8.5-hour layover at Abu Dhabi, and honestly, everything was smooth. The airport was busy as usual, operations seemed normal, and there was absolutely nothing to worry about regarding the current war situation. No disruptions, no tension — just a typical transit experience.
But the real highlight for me was the FOOD.
I’m genuinely surprised more people don’t talk about this. Every single meal I had on both legs was amazing. Not just “good for airplane food” — actually delicious. Proper flavor, good portions, and felt like real meals instead of the usual bland stuff you expect in economy.
I’ve flown quite a bit, and I can confidently say this was the best in-flight food I’ve had on an economy ticket. It actually made the long journey much more enjoyable.
Curious if others have had a similar experience with Etihad, or did I just get lucky?
Would definitely fly with them again just for the food alone 😄
