Concept: Old School, player driven, campaign with an over-arching story narrative to unravel. -Open-world hex-crawl with plenty of dungeons, treasures, monsters, and brutally cold seasonal survival to contend with. Your decisions can affect the world and its factions, your party can establish home bases if they decide- across this frontier region and access dominion play as a group. There is a truth to the North that underpins the campaign and deep religious & cultural tension between the former Hadean Empire and the Native peoples. Your party will have fled from the collapsing Hadean empire, to make a new life in the frigid frontier land of the Forbidden North, with the clothes on your back, and a strange relic you managed to nab before jumping aboard the Rimed Mallow, a sea vessel who’s next stop is Valkengard, one of the largest former imperial settlements of the north
Preferences for Applicants: Mature/ Older, Old School players preferred: Players interested in a longer term campaign who are willing to take initiative and like setting goals and deciding what to do and where to go within a group context. There are four player roles to specialise in that involve everyone in the campaign and the group and help the GM expose the setting. Players who can balance humor and fun having with serious play, who have NOT read much of the Gods of the Forbidden North campaign before.
