I need help, I don't even know what I'm doing anymore

Hi.

I'm on day 58. I reached room 46 on around day 42 I think. On day 39, I had almost run out of things to do, so I figured I would pivot and just spend 3 days rolling the RNG for a chance to get into room 46, hoping it would give me some new burst of clues. It didn't! It was a very nice cutscene, don't get me wrong, but not being able to see inside of the room like, at all? Damn. (I'll come back to this dw)

Oh well, I thought, It's fine, I'll just try the few dwindling things I have left on my to-do list and hope they give me new things to focus on. The largest thing that jumped out to me was solving the chess puzzle. So, I spent a few days rolling the RNG until I got a house that had every chess piece in it, and I went to the underground thing and put the pieces in place. Yay! Unfortunately, all it gave was a permanent upgrade. Cool, I guess, but I was hoping for some sort of lead on a puzzle, some sort of big revelation in the story. The chess pieces was one of the first things I noticed when playing the game, it was the biggest thing I was exited to solve during my entire playthrough, so having it lead to *just* a permanent upgrade (no matter how powerful) was a little depressing.

So, next up, I thought I might as well try to get to grade 8. So, I did a few days later. I learned a bunch of stuff (Although I didn't get to take the final exam like it said in the trophy book :/).

Okay, well that was neat, but it didn't really give me anything actionable. The best it did was let me translate the message Henry left in his note, Ovinn Nevarai, which I think means "towards the inn is the path to the future", which is super cool but doesn't really mean anything to me. "Inn" probably means something that I am not aware of (The inn in Reddington??)

Okay, damn, I'm really running out of things on my to-do list, and nothing I've tried so far has added anything. I guess I'll try draining the resevoir fully by powering the pump room with the boiler. 4 days later, and finally I get the RNG, and I do it, and it is just full of chests that require keys. Great. I happened to unlock one that contained a key to the sanctum. I went there, chose the Orinda Aries door, and I completed the sigil, and I got an allowance token (great, I totally don't already have an allowance of 30), and a single note that seems to be the start of a long chain that doesn't really help me at all right now. Okay, whatever! Fine!

Let's power the furnace with the boiler! Oh, it just gives you a single key? Okay. Let's (I don't even know how it happened) somehow melt the freezer (but not all the way???), oh it gives me the admin code! Omg! This could be huge! Oh. The admin code doesn't work anymore. Well, maybe the code is in the form of last name 4 letters first name first letter? Okay let's try a bunch of names. Oh none of them worked. Okay well, whatever. It's fine.

Fine. Let's see what this room 8 is about. Maybe I need to come into room 8 from a south facing door on the 9th rank, similar to Her Ladyship's room! Oh, that didn't work, oh well.

So, what is left? I could spend like 6 days opening boxes in the reservoir, that sounds fun. I could somehow see if I can maneuver the boat into letting me into the weird pipe in the reservoir wall by manipulating the water height? I could somehow try to power the underground with the boiler to try to open the red prince looking room? I could try endlessly to make a burning glass again and light the candles in the tomb, or in the weird Orinda Aries room in the underground. I could try to make a circuited power hammer again and use it in the few places I haven't yet (weight room and secret garden mainly). I could maybe even write down every single date in the entire game and try randomly entering them into all the safes I've found until one of them randomly opens up. I could even attempt room 46 again and see if maybe this time it lets me into the room.

It's just... like... I just don't want to anymore! Like, I *do* want to play the game, but it just feels so boring. Every single new goal I have is grasping at straws and takes so much RNG to accomplish that I will just have to keep resetting the day over and over, endlessly completing the boring math puzzles on the dart puzzle, not getting the rooms I want, getting screwed over at the last minute by RNG, all just to attempt something that I don't even know will work, and even if it does, it might not even lead to new clues! I don't care about allowance tokens! I don't care about mediocre upgrades to rooms! I just want this game to feel like a giant escape room again, instead of a slot machine where I have to waste hours of my life trying things that probably won't even work! I want to be able to go into a day with no plan, and just let the game guide me to new discoveries. I hate resetting days because my one goal I was trying doesn't pan out!

Basically, what I am asking for, is maybe, a clue? Maybe, some inspiration? Maybe, a change of mindset? Because from the looks of it, I need 7 more sanctum keys, and there is not even close to enough ideas left in my notebook that they could possible be found.
