In need of an ETA?
So we’re two danish people who are travelling from Copenhagen Airport to London Stansted airport for a layover before we go further to Fargo, Portugal after around two hours.
Our question is do we need an ETA in order for us to do the layover?
I tried contacting our airline which was not any help, and i also called London stansted airport directly who told us to call the airline (right after i just talked to them first), and then also some number for border control which did not pick up.
I was told by Stansted airport that they do not have a “transit unit” so we will have to exit and re-Enter the airport so would that mean we would have to apply for the ETA then?
Also, my friend applied for an ETA last year around march/april in order to do a layover in London as well before going to marocco. Has there been any new rules that would cancel this or is it still valid?
We’re not that experinced travellers so we would just like to know 100% if the ETA is needed in order for us to travel with a peace of mind.
Hopefully someone could help us on this matter!
Thank you in advance.
EDIT: i made some spelling mistakes.. english is not my first language:)
