Picky underweight Doodle
Every year I go to the vet I’m told my doodle is underweight. It makes me feel uncomfortable because the insinuation feels like I’m not feeding her. She’s 4 years old and 26lbs. The vet says she should be around 40lbs. For reference her brother is in my neighborhood and he’s about 70lbs.
I currently feed her Purina pro plan chicken and rice mixed with Purina pro plan high energy high protein kibble. When she was a puppy she couldn’t get enough now she just picks over it until she’s hungry and doesn’t have a choice. The vet suggested I add chicken bouillon on top but she’s still not interested.
I add toppers and she just eats those and puts the kibble on the floor. She’s extremely active and playful.
I recently ordered the farmers dog and she’s gained 3lbs but after more research I’m scared to give it to her due to the high fat content.
Does anyone have any advice/suggestions?
