Rant. This shit is whack. Emerald for the first time and I constantly get matched against a couple former champs and a diamond or several diamonds with high K/Ds when I’m emerald the first time barely holding a 1.0.
Ranked 2.0 is supposed to match you with people near your caliber, I know visible rank does not matter. There’s no way my hidden mmr is comparable to champs/diamonds with 1.4s, and several on a team at that. These guys are leagues above me and I just can’t compete. It’s not even fun anymore. I’m older now, I don’t have the skill I used to, and I can’t put the time in that others do. It felt nice to be emerald, I don’t even consider myself worthy of emerald rank. I have the aim of a Stevie Wonder and rely purply on game sense and good plays. Ranked blows and I rarely get a fair match up, but quick play doesnt have the same feel to it.
It goes the other way sometimes too, but far less often. Sometimes I play against a bunch of duds while my team is goated. It’s like 1/4 games I play are a fair match up. 1/4 in my favor, and the other half I’m getting absolutely destroyed. It’s taken everything in me to maintain a 1.0 K/D
Ranked 2.0 is broken and unbalanced. Why am I being paired with passionate people way above my skill set.
