Not sure if this is the right area to ask, if not, please point me in the correct direction.

I take 10mg amban at night and helps me a lot. Recently, for reasons I don't understand and trying to figure out I been having major panic attracts. I do have appointment, but its not until the 20th. I have friend that have offer 1mg Xanax. I feel like if I do take it, it needs to be so many hours apart. I have searched for this answer but I am not getting where and thought maybe you guys have reasonable answer. Maybe 1mg is too much, I don't know? I do know I need to deal with these sudden major panic attacks that I have right before bed. I have try many non medications types also.
